This site is one of the most natural and quietest areas of Phuket and hopefully will remain so for many years to come. You will not be disturbed by noisy traffic, aircraft or nightclubs and  it is our policy to operate using environmentally friendly practices as much as possible. All building and fittings are recently constructed so you can be sure of  clean & presentable facilities.

Beach Huts available now

	Wooden huts by the beach which are suitable for up to two people sleeping. Fan cooled and lighting. Internal dimensions 8 feet square, king size mattress, all bedding provided. Separate toilets & showers.
	Cost per night for each hut is 600 Baht including breakfast for 2 in our new Seafront Restaurant.

Please note that we will require a deposit of 400 baht in advance  to confirm your reservation.

You may stay as long as you wish for the same daily rate.

Payment can be made in your own currency using any major credit card 100% secure payment.

Transfer between the site and Phuket International Airport  available if required at 400 Baht each way.

Local activities include walking, cycling, nature trails around the mangrove forest, bird watching, swimming, paddling, sunbathing. relax in the shade or try one of our many offers for scuba diving or snorkeling, fishing in a longtail boat around some remote islands. We can also arrange transport for you to visit other locations around the island and to see some of Thailand's most beautiful scenery. Visit Bang Pae Waterfall and the gibbon rehabilitation project where you can see rescued animals being cared for before being released back to their natural habitat. Limestone cliffs and caves are also accessible not far from Phuket, Go elephant trekking, try a safari or a day trip to the Zoo and Aquarium where you can see many unusual and rare species. We wish to maintain an eco-friendly resort and aim to ensure that your stay will be a pleasant experience with all your requests catered for wherever possible. Situated a few kilometers from the Yacht Haven the site is an ideal stopover for Phuket's sailing enthusiasts. Beach huts (early evening November 2007)

The Beach

  Situated on the north-west coast of Phuket in southern Thailand, this secluded beach is still undeveloped and is one of the few places on the island where you can truly get away from it all. 
With a full seventeen kilometers of virtually untouched sandy beach facing the Andaman sea and in the center of the Sirinat national park, Mai Khao beach is the perfect location for your dream holiday in the sun.

This secluded beach is one of the few areas left on Phuket where the critically endangered, Giant Leatherback Turtles come to lay their eggs and are occasionally sighted by divers in the area. There are annual efforts to protect the beach in the nesting season between November and February to prevent the numbers of turtles from dwindling further. In April young hatchlings are also released into the sea at various locations during Songkran, the nationwide Thai water festival.

The area is also home to a species of mole crab (Emerita Emeritus), which is known as 'Chakkachan Thale' or 'Sea Cicada' by the local people. They are fished from under the sand only in this locality. The body of this crustacean is oval with short legs, reminiscent of a crab. In many restaurants in Phuket, these 'Sea Cicadas' are still among the secret delicacies that the visitor will be tempted to try, since they prove to be a tasty meal when fried in butter or as the ingredient of a spicy salad.
